For more than 25 years COMPOSITES VEC SARL has designed and manufactured composite parts for water treatment.
Composite materials are made from two or more components with significantly different properties, such that, when combined, produce a material with characteristics different from the individual components. The development of composite materials during the last 50 years has led to a wide range of applications including water treatment.
Today COMPOSITES VEC SARL is specialized in manufacturing composite filter floors made of a composite comprising an organic matrix and reinforcing glass fibres.
Our filter floors are an alternative to traditional concrete or monolithic floors. They consist of a honeycomb covered by two layers made either of PVC or of polyester resin with glass fibre lids.
The properties resulting from the composite materials:
- Light weight (only 1/6 of concrete)
- Chemical and mechanical resistance Composite filter floors have a good mechanical resistance and a better corrosion resistance than concrete filter floors.
- Easy to install Composite filter floors are more flexible when to be fitted and mounted.
